Armed Forces Day
recognizes those still serving in uniform.
recognizes those who served, then took off their uniform.
Memorial Day – Today
recognizes those who served, but never took off their uniform, never left the battlefield or returned home only to find the battlefield never left them.
Taking off that uniform doesn’t revoke the vow. To those who doubt, let then look upon uniform rows of headstones, under the red, white and blue banner, both here and abroad and consider this: that vow was, and always will be, backed by dedicated sacred lives attesting to that full measure of devotion.
